Who's the Boss?

Nope. Not my boss.

The other day, we had to give our Director a pep talk on how to assert oneself. Apparently those without power have to train those with it on how to use it. Still not sure why this is the case, but whatever.

The ability to discern what's necessary versus what's extra should be on the list of qualifications for my position...and the positions of many of my colleagues. We should get paid stipends for dispensing our wisdom. Is it bad when nothing is worth it to me unless I'm compensated for it? Greedy much?

On days like this when I feel overwhelmed, I remember that this, too, shall pass...
